400 ml water
11 g active dry yeast (or 25 g fresh yeast)
½ tbsp salt
2–3 tbsp syrup (or honey)
1 liter (560 g) Birkkala Wholemeal Spelt Flour
Combine yeast, salt and syrup with hand warm water and stir until the yeast is completely dissolved. Add flour in small batches and mix well. The dough should be a little bit wet, there’s no need to knead too much.
Let the dough rise about 30 minutes.
Place the dough into one large oven pan or two smaller. Bake in centre of oven at 200 °C for about 30 minutes.
